My interest in photography started in the early 90's when I wanted to show others my fish catches. At first, I was just borrowing my mom’s simple digital camera to take with me on the boat, but pretty soon I got my own camera. For a long time, I only took pictures about fishing, but my interest in taking pictures of other things grew every day. 

Nowadays, I take most of my pictures close to home, because even ordinary places look really different in different conditions, and there are often interesting people, especially in the Helsinki city center. The style and subjects of the pictures have changed over the years, but the documentary approach has always been close to my heart. What you see in my pictures really happened.
